Hello Pluckin’ Strummers! How’s your ukulele summer going? I hope very well.
Are you able to find time to practice that four string wonder? First of all, always make sure to have fun! Remember that life will surely get in the way so don’t be too hard on yourself if you’re not able to play as much as you want. Daily practice is of course the best way to advance your skills. A half hour or more a day should definitely due the trick. If daily is completely and utterly impossible then try to commit to practice at least two or three times a week for as long as you can. Again, remember to keep it fun and ask for help when needed. I’ll do my best to help, please ask.
Once you have a routine established make sure to challenge yourself with something more complicated. Take your time with more difficult material. It’s okay to take a week or two to learn a piece of intricate music. With more and more practice those difficult pieces can be learned at a much quicker pace.
Be patient and keep on keepin’ on. Uke can do it!
