Here comes Halloween! Trick or treat? My Grandfather used to challenge the costumed door knockers by replying, “Trick!”, with his thick Italian accent. Then there was an awkward silence with a few wide open mouths. He would give it a few seconds for effect, then laugh heartily and gladly give up the treats hiding behind the door.
Okay, that’s enough reminiscing. Let’s play some ukulele!!!
*Important notice to all of you fantastic Pluckin’ Strummers. Our club is approaching its five year anniversary. Thanks to all our faithful members and heres to many more joining us for a lot more strummin’ and singing fun to come. After some serious thought and some number crushing, we, which is now just me, have decided to lower the suggested dues at each meeting from $10 to $5. That’s right! Half off! With this reduction of dues the percentage of what is given to our fabulous location will double so the change won’t be felt by the church. I truly wish I could do this as completely free but this is a lot closer than it was. Thanks again to all that have supported our fantastic club!
Please feel free to bring snacks for our coffee break. Thank you.

•Budapest – by George Ezra
The original key is F but to make it easier to play on the ukulele I’ve raised it to G.
•The Lazy Song – by Bruno Mars
Original key is Bb. 4/4
Chords I, V, IV – B, F#, E
Upstroke strums on the “ands” of the count with right hand fretboard slaps on the 2’s and 4’s. Make the chords short, no sustain, by letting go with your left hand slightly. It sounds harder than it is. We’ll go over it in detail in person.
If you have the time please listen to these songs. YouTube is a good place to listen for free. Thanks everyone.
