Happy New Year, Pluckin’ Strummers!!

For our first meeting of the new year, we’ll be focusing on Jazzy songs out of both the yellow and blue books. Please bring both and if you don’t have them, someone will be happy to share.

A big congratulations to all who won prizes at our last gathering – a Cordoba ukulele, a plastic ukulele, amp, tix, strings tuners, string winder, polishing clothes, etc.

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. We’re excited to dive into year 4 and looking forward to seeing you all in 2015.

This Saturday, a Holiday meeting!

Feel free to bring in songs to pass out and share. We’ll also play the Holiday selections in Book One (the yellow book). Consider bringing in snacks to share. Dress festive!

There will be a drawing for presents for our faithful members.
Some of the goodies include; Tickets to the Palm Spring Ukulele Festival, strings, tuners, a ukulele or two and more…
Don’t miss the fun!

Dec 13th 2014

Happy holidays!

So the thirteenth of this month is our usual second Saturday meeting of The Pluckin’ Strummers and you’d think we’d play and sing nothing but Christmas Carols. This is not the case. We’ve had themes for our last two meetings so here comes one more. “The Beatles!” So many songs to choose from!

If you have family, friends or kids who love to sing-a-long, this will be a fun one to have them join in.

Our second meeting of December would normally be scheduled on the 27th which is of course just two days after Christmas. So here’s what I was thinking… If our space is available, how about we meet on the third Saturday, the 20th, where we will play and sing lots of Christmas Carols and spread tons of holiday cheer! If we can coordinate with the church, the 20th will be a dues free meeting along with a drawing of ukulele related gifts to be given to our faithful Pluckin’ Strummin’ members. More info to follow as we solidify plans.
